U.S.-ASEAN Internship Fair: “Exploring Unlimited Possibilities”

To celebrate the first anniversary of U.S. - ASEAN Internship Program, the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) and US-ASEAN Connect held the Internship Fair and Film Screening on Thursday, May 14th, 2019 at @america, Pacific Place Jakarta from 1:30 - 6.30PM (JKT). The event was attended by approximately 160 university students, with additional 57 students at American Corners of University of Malaysia Kelantan and University of Malaysia Sabah through DVC as well as 639 viewers watching on Facebook Live. 

The event featured opening remarks from Ambassador Michael W. Michalak, US-ABC's Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director, a keynote speech from Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Economic Community Department, H.E. Dr. Aladdin D. Rillo & closing remarks from Chargé​ d'Affaires, a.i., of the U.S. Mission to ASEAN, Ms. Jane Bocklage. The President & CEO of US-ABC, Mr. Alexander Feldman, also attended this event.

Other than Special guests, four HR professional resource persons from U.S. companies in Singapore and Jakarta, including a Digital Business Consultant were invited to share their knowledge. One on one consultation “CV Check-Up” with an English Fellow of the Embassy Jakarta’s Regional English Language Officer was a favorite visited booth among five other company booths. Up to now, the US ASEAN Internship Program highlighted 320 internship opportunities of 26 job categories at 11 U.S. companies in Southeast Asia listed at http://internships.usasean.org/.
